Atheists know more about religions than believers
In this NPR piece about the survey results released by the Pew Forum on Religious Religion and Public Life, it suggests that Atheists and Agnostics know more about religion than the practicers of the faith. For example, 53% of Protestants don’t know it was Martin Luther who started the Protestant Reformation, resulting in the Protestant branch of Christianity.
The more you know, the more you won’t believe.

Anti-gay rally fails
As reported by the Daily Kos, a May Day rally in Washington DC put on by conservative fundamentalists had only 300 participants. Their purpose? As the Daily Kos says:
To “reach the heart of God” and repent of America’s wicked ways (AKA voting a pro-gay, pro-choice Democrat into the White House)
The very low number of attendees made me think of one of my favorite words that begins with ‘A’: Apathy.
